When copying the internal affairs page an error occured:
Error reading imgPinUp.Picture.Data: Invalid floating point of operation. Angel didn't colapse but paused for a bit when this occurred and required me to select ok after this error message. |
does it happen all the time or just once?

All the time... it happens with me as well (even after restarting Angel), it's an older problem, seeing that there were posts on the topic in 2001, so it should easily be solved, I think... Right? :P

This problem did not occur at home, but it does occur at school, unfortunately I cannot specify what triggers this difference :(

i get this error also, but when formatting my internal affairs, the first time i copy it, it just beeps, then i copy it again and the invalid floating point comes up

floating point error on kd page
I get floating point error on 1.52 alpha 1 when I format my kingdom page. Here is the data that causes the error:

I have the same problem. Attempts at formatting the raw info posted below just gives the "Invalid floating point operation." message and a tone. Nothing new shows up in my clipboard.

That's easy... You could have tried it yourself...
It's because of the "- Awaiting Activation -" Or the unclaimed ones... Why? They don't have any acres mentioned. Workaround: Copy the data, angle will give the error. Ignore the error. Copy the data into notepad or something. Scroll down to the list of acres and replace the "-" with a number.. Now select everything and copy it again. You should now see a formatted kingdom page. |
Well I have the problem that when I copy my throne page (not EVERYTIME but often) and I get a "blue screen of death" (win98se). I can't really say what the screen is called since Im running a danish windows, and I dont know what it is called in english ...
But it takes a reboot to continue... and I doubt the awaiting activation is the fault here. Also I can format the KD page, only got that error once or twice (invalid floating point) and we still have one province awaiting activation in the KD... |
Im having the same problem with copying my kd page. I tried working around it by copying to notepad then to angel after changing all the acres to "1" that were formerly "-", angel did copy but didn't calculate. This could be a big problem during play if not fixed.

i also get the blue screen when angel is on. It is not when formatting info, it just happens randomly... sometimes i just press space and my windows gets back to normal and then i restart the computer, other times i have to reboot the hard way.
I believe i had to reboot using the "rset" button when i tried to run angel after getting the blue screen, pressing space and restoring the workspace. I don't remember that kind of blue screen i get :( Now i just deactivate angel until i need it for something, and hope it doesn't crash on me while it's working. |

Just as an update, just downloaded alpha 2 and it doesn't seem to be happening.

I get FP error occasionally, KD page when i click the OK button, and then i go copy the page again there is no more error. |
I just got this:
"Error reading imgPinUp.Picture.Data: Invalid floating point of operation." When trying to move the angel banner ad aside... (Not when formatting anything...) I've been getting the FP bug from time to time ever since I updated to v1.53a2, but it hasnt been causing any crashes... I wonder though, could the banner ad have anything to do with it? |
