elf/general - comments appreciated

I play attacker, currently unhappy as my thieves were inactive for a day or so during our current hostile, should be disgruntled again soon. In general I swing between content and disgruntled due to the high draft rate.

My constant problem is money, was w/o internet access a day or so and promptly had 1400 troops deserting me, currently recovering from this, not on full strength yet.

Any comments appreciated.

1. Your homes are useless when they're at such a small percentage. You're better off without them.

2. You're an attacker, So you don't need thieves dens, and shouldn't have such a high percentage of Guilds, unless you're currently doing a wizard pump. 5-10% Guilds for an attacker should be enough.

3. Since you've more or less maxed out your sciences, I suggest you raze your homes, thieves dens, part of your guilds, and build schools. Your PPA is currently 29; try to get around 31 PPA by increasing housing sciences

4. If you're short on money, either cast IA 24/7 or build more banks.

5. Build 10% taverns to increase your happiness if it drops too low.

thanks for the input, here is how it went on:

- homes are razed (realized that myself)
- I keep the guilds, both to train wizzies as well as wpa modifier for defense (as my strat foresees running low on pezzies dont want too many of those FBs to get through)

I let my happiness drop to rioting and declared martial law to get rid of some acres. Back now to disgruntled (w/o taverns) but my dpa, opa, wpa and tpa soared.

- my income comes from pillaging, i pillaged around 10 mil gc in the last 2 days or so (and assorted food and runes), after my tb is now fixed to 10x nw I get the happiness for it and money is no prob anymore.

- schools are on the way, I will furthermore raze my towers soon and convert them to schools as well

I want to ride a low acre/high nwpa strat with max draft and min pezzies to get my honor up.

at this point u are a attacker mage thief...i mean ur 3.1 wpa raw is like 3.1*1.4*1.65=7.15 mod wpa..that is higher than many t/ms have...and ur almost 4 raw tpa together with 24% wts on ur 800 acers means that noone will ever even think of thiveing you...because u have so many wizzies/thives u are a crappy attacker...

i don't know if u wanna be a a/t/m but i think u wanna be a attacker...i'd say u can leave many of those thives for sure(that would also fix yar happiness)...leave maybe like 1 tpa but don't touch the wts...max wts + cs + 1 tpa with high sci(schools) should defend u ok...and 7 mod wpa is a overkill unless ur a attacker/mage what would i personaly do...and raze those dame TDs if u are not a thief

Ok, I am not sure whether the thievery change will work but will try it. I could easily find a better use for the TDs acres...:->

The mages I will keep up: For one I am one of the favorite spell targets in our KD for some reason (prolly because I annoy a lot of guys with pillages and m/ops in hostile) and the wpa has proven to not yet be the effective shield i want. 2nd, youre right, I want to have a strong mage component to prep my targets into attack range.

what do you mean, does not make sense? I am doing fine, attacing away happily, just made Lord, here the current stats (as we are in a war that keeps dragging along finally decided to build some farms and towers to be able just to focus on acres and not go pillaging):

Very nice province silenco. I if you, next age pick a stronger race for attacking. I know that with those current stats with prob avian or orc, you'll manage a heck of a lot more! And as an elf, with that 40% magik bonus i would have specialised that 15% thieves dens in guilds and towers!

Anywayz ll give that a 3.5/5
