What If God...

If I was a Christian, this would be one possible scenario..

What if God was really the devil and has us all convinced of this fact and that the Devil is really God?

In other words, we're all doing the will of Satan and ignoring God?

Could very well be possible.

Is there a universal good or evil? I do not think so, as killing may be good if killing a cow feeds your childeren etc.

Many christians however dó believe in a universal good or evil, why?

Because God set the rules.

Now God had no other chance than to randomly name things good and evil (as there is no difference), so he could've done it completely otherwise.

Think about that.

Anyway, when the son of the Devil in "The Devil's advocate" asks his father "But...in the bible we loose...", the Devil replies "Consider the source ".

Then why do the laws that God set make common sence? Such as not killing each other, etc.

Names are unimportant.

A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet.

So it matters not, what name something has, or what their nefarious plans are. You follow your path and serve your god in your way... thinking any other way is completely counterproductive.

If you see the light at the end of the tunnel, then you passed the test.

Then what about the silly laws like not wearing clothes with mixed fibres etc? Most of the laws in the bible make no sense whatsoever.

If you look at medieval sources, about a third of all angels sided with Satan. That's hardly a rebellion, it's a civil war. So which side really won? Whatever side we can be sure they would label themselves the good guys, just as winners in human wars do. Check what the world looks like and you may have certain suspicions...

and every rose has its thorn as well...

Names are important. Propaganda is the most important tool used by a govt or militia group to convince people they are good.

Osama Bin ladens followers believe he is on the side of good and we are evil...they don't know for sure but they have faith that they are just like we do.

Transpose that scenario into christianity which really comes down to being good to get into heaven and not being evil or even simply good v evil, and in todays society you don't know for sure what side you're on.
