New Race Suggestion! Cenataurs
1)Because I don't think anyone suggested it yet!
2)I'd like to see something revived from the avians, hence that -10% attack time....loved the days where 6/7 hours attack time existed
3)Cos i was bored!
Cenataurs are a race of creatures composed of part human and part horse.
They are depicted with the torso of a human joined at the waist to the horse's withers where the horse's neck would be. Their love for combat has allowed them to be effective during attacks and due to their beastiary four legged being it allows them to return quickly to their respective provinces. Their natural talent for combat has come at a cost to from their magic and theivery.
Their aptitude for combat comes from their love for food. Due to the fact they are half human, they have a natural affinity for science and income.
+1 offensive bonus for offensive specialists (Their love for battle)
-10% attack times (Being four legged, means you travel faster i guess)
+10% Income (Being half human, means they have proficiency in income)
+15% Science effectiveness (Being half human, means they have proficiency in science)
+25% Food consumption
-15% Magic & Theivery Effectiveness
-0.5 unit population for every acre (due to their abnormal size, population penalty occurs. Eg. Every 2 acres = -1 population)
No Stables are built for warhorses, since they're half horse

+Warspoils (Undead are the only race with warspoils, i reckon we could use another race with one)
+Fountain of knowledge
Mayb +Agression...depending on if its imbalanced or not =P
I spent 20 minutes thinking this up =) Please don't flame, but everyone's entitled to an opinion.

And 3 of your 4 cons are from races that already exist. (and the elite which is dwarf. except cheaper.
I would go something lie this. Tell me how you feel about it:
Centaurs: right. most of the races are effective at being hybrids and become them mainly fore defence against t/m activities. So, I am making an attacking race which is resistant to magic/theivery.
-20% attack time. (if this is too much please forgive me and tell me)(In greek mythology centaurs could slightly warp space)
plunders, learns, massicres, and ops such as kidnap and theivery ops are twice as effective they are...very...energetic, in myth, and said to be violent, etc.)
+15% of spells/ops against you fail. (extra defence against those pesky theives).
Like you said, they are pretty big. (not sure about this- -5% max pop?)
-15% off magic eff. -10% off theivery eff
No Stables are built for warhorses, since they're half horse. Keeping this for obvious reasons.
and because they are known to.. (party doesn't seem like the right word)
(more like going completly insane) -10% income.
Normal spec rates,
Go for a very boosted elite.
7/6 elites for power and insane def. (Price? no clue. Going for 1kgc. Depends on the race)
War spoils seems good. Quick feet will go well with this race also, I think.
Fount of Knowledge, why not?
Aggression for a very violent species, hell yeah
