i have my new laptop here for school, its fast enough (duo-core 2.16 ghz) i just need a better video card but i will wait till later before i crack this badass open and upgrade.

at home i have a recently bought desktop for my brother... but its in my room.

although i gotta admit its a lot better to have my laptop.

I'm 1970's pimp smooth...

I'd say both provided you actually going to use a laptop.

My PC was good about a year ago (stupid conroes), its still adequate for my needs. I also have a Dell Latitude LS PIII 500MHz Coppermine, 128 SDRAM, 10GB hdd and so on, as a laptop. It's works incredibly well for stuff like Word, coding, web browsing, email and stuff like that. Also use it to access my PC, VNC, SSH, HTTP, fileserver (NFS, SMB) etc.

Runs Arch Linux btw.
